Online lessons.
***Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, all lessons are currently being done online***
IN-person Lessons
Having a private instructor is one of the best and fastest ways to grow as a musician. Private instructors are able to consistently model the characteristic sound of the instrument and may themselves become a role model for students. This can be a strong motivation for students to continue in music and excel on an individual level. In-person lessons are offered in the student’s home or, in many cases, at the students school. All lessons are offered once per week.
online Lessons
Convenience, convenience, convenience! Online lessons are available to anyone, anywhere. Taking online lessons means no traveling to a teacher’s home, school or studio. No more lugging instruments around town and there are more options for scheduling. The only requirements are a reliable internet connection, your instrument and video chat software such as Skype, Zoom, or FaceTime. All Lessons are offered once per week.

30-minute Lessons
30-minute lessons are great for young children and anyone who is brand new to the instrument. Focus is placed on the fundamentals of music as well as an introduction to standard repertory. This would be a great place to start for the first year middle school student or younger, as young students often do not have the endurance or attention span to take full advantage of a longer lesson. Adult beginners might also find that 30 minutes is a comfortable start. Of course there are always exceptions. We have had many beginners who have successfully done full 60-minute lessons.
60-Minute Lessons
The ideal candidate for a 60-minute lesson practices regularly and has built up the playing endurance to feel comfortable all the way through the lesson. This would be perfect for the serious music student, or students preparing for auditions/competitions. This would also be great for adult beginners, high schoolers, and highly motivated younger children with a longer-than-average attention span. In addition to the focuses of 30-minute lessons, students will enjoy added focus on standard etudes as well as standard solo and chamber literature.
Group Lessons
Group Lessons are available as an option in some cases. Typically groups are created with like instruments and with students who are performing on similar levels of ability.
